Our Story
ToolernVale Pork is a small family operation nestled in the countryside. For us, farming isn't just a business - it's a way of life, shaped by a deep respect for the land and the animals in our care.
We specialise in purebred Berkshire pigs, one of the oldest and most prized heritage breeds in the world. Everything we do - from how we raise our pigs to how we bring our products to your table - is guided by a commitment to quality and animal welfare. We also offer Black-Face Suffolk lambs, brought up with the exact same care and attention to detail.
The Breed
Berkshire pigs have been prized since the 17th century for the extraordinary quality of their meat. Known in Japan as "Kurobuta" - black pig - Berkshire pork is celebrated for its rich, complex flavour and beautiful marbling that sets it apart from any commodity pork you'll find in a supermarket.
We chose Berkshire for one reason: they produce the finest eating pork available. Full stop.
