"Free range" refers to a livestock's living conditions.
To count as free range pigs are required to have access to outside areas, such as paddocks, and need to be able to move around freely. The exception to this is during husbandry (breeding).
Our pigs meet these requirements as they are given wide paddocks to move around in and rest, as well as rugged shelters to protect them against the elements.
They are only taken out of their
large living space during husbandry to ensure their pregnancies occur without complications and that their piglets are safe and warm.
